How to get that smoky eye look and look fabulous for your next big night out |
Start by applying a light shade of concealer to the under eye area and onto the top of the eyelid.
Using eye liner, line the inside bottom eyelid rim with an eye pencil, as close to the lash line as possible. (If you have small eyes apply liner under the bottom lash as close you can get - using a liquid eyeliner in this case can be easier.)
With a small eye shadow brush and a dark grey or brown eye shadow soften the edges of the eye pencil line working up towards the edges of the eye socket area. (cat eyes)
Now apply a darker shade again over the eye pencil line and slightly smudge
Next apply a lighter more neutral shadow just above the smudged pencil line end slightly onto eye socket area.
Then apply the darker shadow again lightly circling the more neutral tones to the middle and upper eye socket area. Slightly blending into the edges of the darker shadow.
Finish with a lighter highlighter shadow to the arch under the brow. Use an eyebrow pencil or dust to highlight the eyebow.
Make sure the eye shadow and liner is well blended to achieve that sexy look.
Finally add mascara slowly building up the layers. (don’t forget the lash curler). Start as close to the eye lid as possible and slowly wiggle that brush upwards.
Now off you go looking more glamorous than ever for that fab night out!
